Specifications

A.D. Turner Atlantic Salmon Chromolithograph Copywright - 1902 - FM Johnson - Sackets & Wilhelms Litho & Pt Co. New York - Good Condition - these litho's were stacked on top of each - so most of the spots you see are actually pieces of the board stuck to the litho - they come off when gently rubbed however - I am not cleaning - they are not in pristine condition - they are over 100 years old - there may be small marks or abbrasions on these items - but they are truly spectacular - and I actually have the two volume book set these lithos are seen in. - Enjoy them - we cannot ship these items - but will take them to a shipper who will package them up - and you will pay the cost - we are not able pack artwork - you can come pick up.

Prints by A.D. Turner. From Forest, Lake and River: The Fishes of New England and Eastern Canada. New York: Frank M. Johnson, 1902. 17 1/2 x 27 3/4. Chromolithographs by Sackett & Wilhelm's Lith. & Ptg. Co. With title labels. Very good condition. Note: reflections in images are from mylar not prints. In the late nineteenth century, a group of artists, including A.B. Frost and Alexander Pope, began to develop an American style of sporting art. A.D. Turner was one of these artists and the chromolithographs of fish made after his watercolors are among the most impressive of the period.
